Student Medical Insurance
International students, Veterinary Medicine students, and School of Medicine students are required to have health insurance either through the Virginia Tech Student Health Insurance Plan or a comparable plan. Other domestic students are encouraged, but not required, to have personal health insurance. Eligible Graduate Assistants wishing to use the health insurance subsidy must enroll in the Virginia Tech Student Health Insurance Plan.

25/26 Aetna Medical Plan
Student enrollment is processed through the SMI office, and cost added to the student's account.
25/26 Aetna Dental Plan
Enrollment in the Aetna Medical Plan is required for enrollment in the Dental Plan. Cost of the dental plan is paid directly to Aetna.
